The circuit court litigation ahead of Rogers’ scheduled execution has begun. On Wednesday, the State filed a Motion for Scheduling Order. Yesterday, after holding a case management conference, the circuit court entered a Scheduling Order for the circuit court proceedings:
The Scheduling Order sets forth the following schedule:
April 18 by 9:00 a.m.: Rogers’ public records requests (PRRs) due
April 18 at 3:00 p.m.: Objections to PRRs due
April 18 at 4:00 p.m.: hearing on objections to PRRs
April 20 at noon: public records due
April 20 at 5:00 p.m.: postconviction motion due (25-page limit)
April 21 at 7:00 p.m.: response to Rogers’ motion due
April 22 at 10:00 a.m.: Huff hearing
April 22 at 3:00 p.m.: Order on Huff hearing
April 23 at 10:30 a.m.: evidentiary hearing (if needed)
April 25 at 3:00 p.m.: final order on postconviction motion

My thoughts are with everyone involved in the warrant- and execution-related process.
It’s sobering to see just how compressed and high-pressure this timeline is. No matter where one stands on capital punishment, the pace and weight of these proceedings are staggering. Thinking of everyone navigating this process, especially those working against the clock to prepare and respond.
This man does not deserve this they cheated the system new evidence shows he may not have done it and they won't look at it
