BREAKING: SCOTUS denies Michael Zack's final claims
The U.S. Supreme Court has denied both of Michael Zack’s pending petitions for writ of certiorari and the accompanying applications for stay of execution.
The State intends to execute Michael Zack tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.
This morning, Zack’s replies in support of his second-filed petition for writ of certiorari were docketed at the U.S. Supreme Court. The reply in support of the petition can be accessed here. The reply in support of the application for stay can be accessed here.
This afternoon, the U.S. Supreme Court denied both of Michael Zack’s pending petitions for writ of certiorari and the accompanying applications for stay of execution.
There were no dissents from either Order.
The only way the execution could be stopped would be a last-minute grant of clemency, as the State said throughout the litigation in this case that clemency is possible at any time.
