Nelson Serrano has passed away after being hospitalized for quite some time with a terminal condition. Serrano spent over 3 decades on Florida’s death row and was almost 86 years-old.
As a now-retired DP attorney in New Orleans around 1980-1990, now in CA, what a waste of resources and time. If it takes the Fla criminal review "system" THAT long to figure out how to achieve justice for someone, no wonder we are in trouble, both financially and morally. Quel dommage.
I am still unsure about the outcome of other cases in other states. But it appears taxpayers are paying for "l'etat, c'est moi" justice, resurrected in another form.
